Peruvian Hot Chocolate
Ingredients :
3 squares of baking chocolate
1 / 2 cup granulated sugar
1 / 8 teaspoon salt (to detect sweetness)
2 cups boiling water
6 cups whole milk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract (or vanilla bean seeds Lage)
Sweetened whipped cream
8 pieces of cinnamon stick
Method :
Steamers, melt the chocolate. Mix sugar and salt. , Add boiling water slowly, stirring constantly, until mixture is smooth. Cook for five minutes. Whisk the hot milk and vanilla or vanilla bean seeds. Continue to whisk until frothy cocoa. Whipped cream and cinnamon stick and pour into mugs and garnish. There are 8 servings.
