Medieval Sweet and Sour Fish
Ingredients :

6 solid white fish steaks
Olive oil for frying
500 ml dry red wine vinegar
4 tablespoons honey
1 onion, finely chopped
1 / 2 teaspoon ground mace
1 / 2 teaspoon ground cloves
1 teaspoon pepper in a cube




Method :

Gently poach the fish in water or milk until it just flakes with a fork a swamp and allocated. Meanwhile, combine red wine vinegar, honey, onions and spices in large saucepan. Bring to a boil and taste for sweetness (add more honey if necessary). Continue cooking for about 12 minutes or until onion is soft.
Add a little olive oil in a skillet and fry the fish is poached to use on both sides until crisp and lightly browned. Remove from oil and drain. Arrange in a shallow bowl and spoon sauce on top services.
