SUGAR COOKIES
Ingredients :
1 cup white sugar
1 cup powdered sugar
1 cup butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon cream of Tarter
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon vanilla
4 cups flour
½ cup corn oil
Directions :Cream sugar and butter together. Stir in beaten eggs, vanilla and corn oil, in. Add dry ingredients. Mix all ingredients and chill overnight.
Bake at 375 F for 8-10 minutes .... Do not overcook.
We used to make funny colors to decorate cookies, most of them looked inedible. They tasted heavenly, though. We decided if we did them look gross enough, the adults will leave them alone. We were wrong. Everyone knew they were famous grandmother's biscuits made of sugar from her recipe book. This page was splashed with all sorts of colors. I this book now. I love making these cookies with my children.
